Last updated: April 2026
FindMyMOT (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what we do with it.
What we collect
From drivers submitting enquiries
- Postcode (to match you with nearby garages)
- Phone number (so the garage can reach you)
- Email address (for enquiry confirmation)
From garage owners claiming listings
- Name, role at garage, WhatsApp number, email address
- Payment information processed by Stripe — we never see or store card details
Automatic data
- IP address, browser type (for security and analytics)
- Cloudflare Turnstile runs a risk check to prevent scraping
What we do with it
- Driver enquiries are emailed to the garage they chose, and to our internal records (to help you if something goes wrong).
- Garage claim data is used to verify you own the garage, and to create your listing.
- We do not sell data. To anyone. Ever.
- We do not use your data for advertising. We have no advertising partners.
Your rights (UK GDPR)
You can:
- Ask what data we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion
- Withdraw consent at any time
- Complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk) if you believe we’ve mishandled your data
